Definition of “personal information”
NSS defines “Personal information” as the type of information that identifies you or could be used to identify you and which is submitted to and/or collected by NSS Web sites and kept by NSS in an accessible form. Examples of personal information include your name, your physical address, and your telephone number.
Online collection of information by NSS
NSS collects information in two ways:
• Personal Information You Submit: NSS collects personal information that you enter into data fields on NSS Web sites. For example, you may submit your name, physical address, e-mail address, telephone number, home size and/or other information in order to schedule service, receive information about various subjects, contact NSS customer service, or respond to NSS surveys. To protect your privacy, you should not provide NSS with any information that is not specifically requested.
• Passive Collection of Unidentifiable Information: NSS Web sites may collect information about your visits to NSS Web sites without you actively submitting such information. Unidentifiable information may be collected using various technologies, such as cookies, Internet tags, and web beacons. Your Internet browser automatically transmits to NSS Web sites some of this unidentifiable information, such as the URL of the Web site you just visited and the browser version your computer is operating. NSS finds this statistical information important in order to monitor this Site’s performance, to make it easier for visitors to use this Site, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the services it provides. These statistics are anonymous. Unless you tell NSS, either by registration in some other way or by communicating with NSS directly using other means, NSS does not know who you are. Certain features of NSS Web sites may not work without use of passive information collection technologies.
When you provide us with information in connection with a particular activity or otherwise sign up for or order our Products and Services or provide your contact information, including an email address or telephone number in connection with that activity, product or service, you agree that this action constitutes a purchase or inquiry establishing a business relationship with us. You expressly consent to our communicating with you about NSS using the information you provided to us. You also attest that you have the legal authority over any telephone number you provide to us and can provide us with the authorization to contact you. This means we may contact you, in person or by recorded message, by e-mail, telephone and/or mobile telephone number (including use of automated dialing equipment), text (SMS) message, or any other means of communication that your wireless or other telecommunications device may be capable of receiving.
Social Media Accounts
You may be given the option to link a social media account (such as Facebook, Twitter, and others) in order to comment on the NSS Applications and/or our Products and Services, or take advantage of other features of the NSS Applications. When you comment on the NSS Applications using your social media account username and password and clicking “allow” on the social media permission authorization screen, we will automatically import whatever information that you allow to be imported from your social media profile based upon your privacy settings at your social media account, such as your location, your interests, etc. (collectively, “Authorized Social Media Profile Content”) and you give us permission to capture, store, use and display your Authorized Social Media Profile Content, including syncing access to such Authorized Social Media Profile Content when you are not using NSS Applications and we may share that information with other users. The authentication of your social media login credentials are conducted solely through that specific social media account.
Circumstances when NSS may collect and use personal information
NSS will use the personal information you provide through NSS Web sites to respond to your questions and to provide you with efficient customer service. After you have entered personal information into a form or data field on a NSS Web site, NSS may use certain identifying technologies to allow that Web site to “remember” your personal preferences, such as sections of that Web site that you visit frequently and, if you choose, your user ID. We may also use this personal information for other business purposes, such as to offer you the opportunity to receive notices regarding NSS’s products or services, to invite you to participate in surveys about our products, or to notify you about special promotions.
We may use your information, subject to applicable laws, in the following ways:
• to deliver, provide or process payment for a product or service you have requested;
• to administer promotions you enter such as a contest or sweepstakes;
• to allow you to register and create an account and profile;
• to allow your participation in our Newsletters and updates;

Location information will be collected solely to deliver the requested feature, and it will not be further retained or stored. By using such applications, you consent to the collection and use of your mobile device location data for purposes of delivering these location-based features.

In the event that we, or any of our businesses, are sold or disposed of as a going concern, whether by merger, sale of assets or otherwise, or in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy or receivership, personally identifiable information (including all Personal Information) of our customers and visitors to our NSS Applications may be one of the assets sold or merged in connection with that transaction. In addition, information about our customers and registered users may also be disclosed in connection with a commercial transaction where we or any one of our businesses are seeking financing, investment, support or funding.
Financial Information we collect
Financial information is information that you provide to us, including your debit or credit card number and related billing information (collectively, the “Billing Information”). We require such financial information in order to process payment for the purchase of a Product or Service that you have requested. By submitting your financial information, you consent to our providing it to those Authorized Third Party Service Providers (as later defined) as necessary to support and process your transactions as well as your credit card issuer/banking institution for their purposes. Please do not enter your financial information anywhere other than in the fields provided for that financial information.
Communicating About Transactions
Occasionally we may send you notices relating to your account or your orders. Order confirmations, invoices, renewals or customer service notifications are some examples of these types of communication. We may also send you service-related announcements when it is necessary to do so; for instance, if our Service(s) is/are temporarily suspended for maintenance, or the delivery of a Product is delayed or there is some service issue with something you may have ordered. These communications are not promotional in nature; therefore, you may not opt-out of receiving these communications.
Does NSS consolidate personal information?
NSS may combine the personal information that you provide to us on one NSS Web site with the personal information provided by you on other NSS Web sites. NSS may also combine personal information that you provide to us online with our offline records as well as records provided by third parties. We use this consolidated information to help us better design NSS Web sites and NSS products, to communicate information to you, to enhance our marketing and research activities, and to facilitate other business functions.
My choices about how NSS collects and uses personal information about me
You may always limit the amount and type of personal information that NSS receives about you by choosing not to enter any personal information into forms or data fields on NSS Web sites. Some of our online services can only be provided to you if you provide us with appropriate personal information. Other parts of NSS Web sites may ask whether you wish to opt out or opt into our contact lists for offers, promotions and additional services that may be of interest to you.
NSS Web sites that use tracking technologies to collect unidentifiable information do not generally provide you with the ability to opt out of the tracking technologies. Some Internet browsers allow you to limit or disable the use of tracking technologies that collect unidentifiable information.
How NSS uses Google services?
NSS uses Google Analytics first-party “cookies” and the DoubleClick and other partner third-party “cookies” for reporting and advertising. These first- and third-party cookies are used together to help us better understand your interests and online behavior in an aggregate and anonymous form. The Google Analytics first-party “cookies” are used to compile statistical information and reports on aggregate visitor activity on our website. We use third-party cookies to enable Google Analytics demographics and interest reporting, which allows us to understand, in aggregate, the age, gender, and interests of our visitors. In addition to this, we use first- and third-party Google Analytics, DoubleClick and other partner “cookies” for remarketing. Remarketing allows our ads to be delivered to visitors on other third-party websites after they leave our website. This advertising directly relates to offers that may be of interest to you based on your prior website visit. None of the data we collect from first and third party “cookies” can be linked to an individual person nor is this data able to personally identify any visitor to our website.
NSS protects your personal information
We protect your personal information by maintaining a layered approach to security controls to prevent unauthorized access and use. These measures include screening for fraud, computer safeguards, access control and various other controls.
Protecting privacy of children
NSS does not knowingly collect or use any personal information from children (we define “children” as minors younger than 13) on NSS Web sites. We do not knowingly allow children to order our products, communicate with us, or use any of our online services. If you are a parent and become aware that your child has provided us with information, please contact us using one of the methods specified below, and we will work with you to address this issue.
